I was working all day Sunday but went up to our church very early in the morning to place under the west arch a 'memorial' to the men from Ranworth village who went off to fight in the First World War. These surviving photographs were found in the church vestry. Later, I listened to the National Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph on the radio at 11am. It is the most powerful sound, two minutes of radio silence.
