Francis Hodgson is Professor in the Culture of Photography at the University of Brighton. He is a specialist writer on photographs, having been for many years the critic for the Financial Times. Hodgson is a co-founder of the largest prize in world photography, the Prix Pictet. He writes a well-regarded commentary on photography at francishodgson.com.

Debby Besford is a documentary photographer and university lecturer with over 25 years’ professional experience and her love of Norfolk stems from her own upbringing in Great Yarmouth. She recently completed a project connecting the nostalgic legacy of the towns' Venetian Waterways to that of her family. Her current bodies of work concentrate on, The Art
of Roller Skating, and, At Home, about her late parents and their lives in Great Yarmouth.

Ben Burdett is the founder of the Atlas Gallery, which first opened its doors in 1994 and is one of the foremost galleries worldwide dealing exclusively in photography. The gallery embraces photography in all its forms, with extensive holdings of work by 20th Century masters as well as representing a diverse range of contemporary photographers.

Harry Cory Wright is a photographer living and working in Norfolk. His work was exhibited in Landmark: The Fields of Photography at Somerset House, London (2013) curated by William A. Ewing. His book Journey through the British Isles published by Merrell has become a marker for contemporary landscape photography. He uses exclusively the large format
10 x 8 inch plate camera.
Calvin Winner is Head of Collections and a curator at Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. Winner has a specialist interest in 20th century and contemporary art and has curated exhibitions concerning Bill Viola, Francis Bacon, Alberto Giacometti and the writer W.G.Sebald. He has a longstanding interest in the history of photography and the photobook.

Katy Barron is a photography curator and Senior Director at Michael Hoppen Gallery in London. She is Chair of the Board of Trustees of Photofusion in Brixton, a member of the Maud Sulter Advisory Board and a Trustee of Photo Oxford photography festival. For the past 15 years she has advised and curated with museums, festivals, galleries, collectors and artists both in the UK and abroad.

Mark Edwards is an Associate Professor at the University of Suffolk. The focus of his research is the landscape tradition found in the painting and literature made within the cultural and geographical boundaries of East Anglia. This enquiry is underpinned by his photographic practice which is included in major photographic collections including The V&A Museum and The Government Art Collection.
Katie Hayward is a photographer who has been documenting the landscapes of East Anglia and more recently the areas of Dedham Vale and the Stour Valley. Her work explores the physicality of the landscape, the emotional relationship within it, and the harmony between the visual aesthetic and the informative.

Stephen Hyde is a renowned commercial and portrait photographer based in London. Hyde is also the great grandson of P.H.Emerson. In 1986 he featured in Twenty for Today, a major exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery. His work forms part of their permanent collection. In 2006
he wrote the foreward to, The Old Order and the New: P.H.Emerson
and Photography.
Finding Emerson Festival is a not-for-profit event.
All proceeds will go towards funding outreach programmes in local schools.
