PHILIP SKELTON
For my residency and field research, I will study microplastic pollution in the North Sea using manta trawls and Niskin bottles to collect water and sediment samples. Through filtration and density separation, I will analyse plastic types and therefore infer pollution sources, helping to understand the sources of human impact on marine ecology in the North Atlantic.
I’m excited to collaborate with others during residency, sharing ideas and learning from different perspectives. I always pitch in for group tasks and would be very interested to get involved with others’ projects on the boat.
