DARIYA CHEREMISINA
As a filmmaker I would like to tell a story of the project itself. Observation brings a lot of joy to me; the camera helps to capture it and share the treasures of sensitive, invisible, and still very much present parts of our life.
I want to explore the topic of archive and change within the period of the residency. My goal will be to create a film of 30–50 minutes. It will be an ode to the sea through the eyes of those sharing the moment of life, food, stories, fears, and colours that the Northern water surface brings up in us.
The goal of creating a film will create space for the research — playful, attentive, and fully immersed in everyday life while being on the way. The combination of science, art, and sailing routine brings depth to the points of view that the film can bring together.
I use drawing, writing, sound recording, and interviewing as tools to complement and reflect on the construction of the movie, almost as a house — or a life of tomorrow that we might not be able to imagine yet.
